Raylan seeks to protect Ava Crowder ( Joelle Carter) from the rest of the Crowder clan after she shoots and kills her husband, Bowman Crowder, in retaliation for years of abuse. The story arc of season one concentrates on the crimes of the Crowder family. In January 2022, FX announced Justified: City Primeval, a sequel limited series with Olyphant reprising his role as Raylan Givens. Justified was nominated for eight Primetime Emmy Awards, with two wins, for Margo Martindale's performance as Mags Bennett and Jeremy Davies' performance as Dickie Bennett.
